The Permian volleyball team began District 2-6A play on the right note, sweeping Midland High Friday at Permian Fieldhouse.
The Lady Panthers won by scores of 25-23, 28-26, 25-17 and moved to 21-7 overall, 1-0 in district.
Permian was led by Jade Workman who had 21 kills while Bridgit Smithee had eight and Mylah Arzaga had six.
The Lady Panthers will next face Midland Legacy at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Permian Fieldhouse.
