HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Permian, OHS to meet in crosstown rivalry part II

The Permian and OHS volleyball teams will close out the regular season with the second edition of their crosstown rivalry at 6 p.m. Tuesday at OHS Fieldhouse.

The Lady Panthers, 23-13 overall, 3-6 in District 2-6A, are currently in fourth place and in control of the final playoff spot in the district standings while Odessa High (14-14, 1-8) is in sixth place.

Permian is just one win ahead of Midland High (27-15, 2-7) in the district standings.

The Lady Panthers are coming off a 3-1 loss to Wolfforth Frenship (32-9, 8-1) last week at home while the Lady Bronchos were dealt a loss in straight sets to Midland High.

Permian won the last meeting against OHS with a 3-0 victory back on Oct. 6 at Permian Fieldhouse.
