GODLEY The Permian volleyball team won its first two matches before falling in the title game Saturday at the Godley Tournament.
The Lady Panthers defeated Fort Worth Paschal, 15-25, 25-15, 25-13, in the opening round of bracket play.
They followed that with a 12-25, 25-21, 25-21 victory against Mansfield in the semifinal.
In the championship match, host Godley defeated Permian, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Permian will host Monahans at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Permian Fieldhouse.
