MIDLAND The Midland Legacy softball team defeated Permian in a 17-6 contest Tuesday at Gene Smith Field.
It was the Lady Rebels’ first win in District 2-6A play as they improved to 14-8-3 overall, 1-1 in district.
Permian fell to 15-7-2, 1-1.
Legacy finished with 11 hits and two errors while the Lady Panthers had eight hits and two errors.
Permian will be back at home to face district leaders Wolfforth Frenship (16-7, 2-0) at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Ratliff Softball Complex.
