HIGH SCHOOL GOLF: Mustangs finish second at state

KINGSLAND The Andrews boys golf team took second at the Class 4A State Golf Tournament Tuesday at Legends Golf Course.

The Mustangs finished with a team score of 308-299—607 while Canyon Randall ended up winning state with a score of 300-303—603.

Sulphur Springs took third, going 303-312—615.

Andrews was led by Jack Burgen who went 74-67—141 to finish in a tie for third place with Boerne’s Price Hill (70-71—141).

Wimberley’s Jaxon Donaldson was the state individual champion, going 70-66—136.

Andrew’s Jorge Molinar III finished sixth overall with a score of 71-73—144.
