KEYS TO VICTORY
>> MORE, PLEASE: The Permian defense looked to be in midseason form when the Panthers opened the 2022 campaign at Abilene High last week, allowing just 49 yards of total offense and three first downs. Anything close to that type of dominating performance bodes well against Midway.
>> GET ON TRACK: As strong as the Permian defense was, the offense sputtered against the Eagles. It took a two-minute drill touchdown at the end of the first half to move into the lead before being able to add some insurance in the second half. The Panthers need to get started quickly and get into a rhythm that allows them to relax.
>> EMOTION: The Permian fans always travel well, but that’s nothing compared to what the Panthers play in front of each week they run onto the Ratliff Stadium turf. With nearly a full grandstand on the home side, Permian’s players can feed off that energy for 48 minutes.
