BRONCHOS RALLY PAST REBELS

MIDLAND The Odessa High boys basketball team, trailing at halftime, dominated the second half to earn a 64-55 victory against Midland Legacy in District 2-6A play Tuesday at Legacy H.S.

Coco Rose led the Bronchos (18-4 overall, 2-0 in district) with a game-high 27 points, with LJ Willis adding 18 and Caleb Ramirez 13 in the victory.

Chris Brazzell had 17 points to lead the Rebels (12-9, 0-2), with Donny Bishop finishing with 16 and Nate Suttle chipping in 13.

Midland Legacy used a 24-point second quarter to open a nine-point lead (39-30) at halftime, but Rose and Willis went to work after the break.

Odessa High used a 10-0 run to climb back into the game and then pulled away in the fourth quarter.

ANDREWS Lubbock Christian’s boys basketball team dominated the second and third quarters en route to a 59-39 victory against Andrews in nondistrict play Tuesday at the Andrews Performance Center.

Asher Fleming scored a game-high 20 points to lead Lubbock Christian (13-4), with Trew Harris adding 19 to the victory, including six 3-pointers.

Ashton Galvan led the Mustangs (12-6) with 12 points.

The game was tied, 11-11, after one quarter before the visiting Eagles outscored Andrews 37-14 in the second and third quarters, combined, to put the game away.
