The Permian and Odessa High boys basketball teams will begin District 2-6A action Friday night.
The Panthers will start off against San Angelo Central at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Permian Fieldhouse.
The Panthers (15-7) are coming off massive 55-52 win over Palo Duro (which is ranked 12th in Class 5A) last Friday on the road.
San Angelo Central (18-8) is coming off a 75-48 win over Burkburnett last Friday.
The Odessa High boys will begin district action with a 7:30 p.m. contest Friday at Midland Legacy.
The Bronchos (7-16) are coming off an 83-51 loss to Lubbock Estacado Tuesday on the road.
