ABILENE The Odessa High boys basketball team defeated Abilene High 65-51 Tuesday afternoon on the road in a nondistrict contest.
The Bronchos were led in scoring by Justin Martinez who had 21 points while Ivan Carreron had 20 and Naledge Jenkins finished with 11.
Abilene High was led by Brooks Reese and Chris Matt who both had 13 points. Jake Breckenridge scored eight for the Eagles.
Both teams were tied at 15 at the end of the first quarter before the Bronchos took a 31-28 lead at the half.
Odessa High gradually pulled away in the second half and only allowed seven points from Abilene High in the third quarter.
