HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Bronchos fall in regular season finale

The Odessa High baseball team saw its season come to an end as the Bronchos fell 8-3 to San Angelo Central in the District 2-6A finale Monday at Donsky Field. The game had been postponed from Friday due to inclement weather.

Alex Cadena led the way for Odessa High (15-14 overall, 6-12 district) with a two-run home run in the first inning. Kyson Snelson was one of four Bobcats (13-20, 8-10) with two hits and he also drove in two runs and had a triple.

San Angelo Central clinched the No. 4 seed in the district and will face the No. 1 seed from District 1-6A in El Paso Montwood in a one-game playoff at 6 p.m. Friday at Tom Carrillo Field in El Paso.
