HORSESHOE BAY Darren Seglem and Mark Jones set the early tone and their teammates responded as the Odessa Country Club Old Course team defeated the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club, 9.5-2.5, to win the Texas League Play playoffs Sunday at Slick Rock Golf Course.
Seglem and Jones defeated Jay Weiss and Michael Shirley, 3-0, in the opening match.
Odessa’s Robert Rigney and Brandon Warne paired up to halve their match, 1.5-1.5, against Charles Archer and Randy Durant.
Jim McNeil and Luke Groves were next out for the Old Course and they defeated Nick Loar and Marc Nelson, 3-0, to secure the victory.
Odessa’s Aaron White and Jerry Dugan completed the day with 2-1 victory against CJ Brock and Mike Frias.
