GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: San Angelo Central defeats Permian

SAN ANGELO The San Angelo Central girls basketball team kept its hopes of a District 2-6A title alive with a 35-33 win over Permian Tuesday in San Angelo.

The Lady Bobcats (20-11 overall, 7-1 in district) remain tied for first place with Wolfforth Frenship (29-3, 7-1) with two games remaining.

Permian (18-17, 1-7) will next face Midland Legacy (16-15, 5-3) Friday at 6 p.m. in Midland.
