The Odessa High girls basketball team got off to a quick start en route to a 54-29 victory over Monahans 54-29 in nondistrict play Tuesday at OHS Fieldhouse.
The Lady Bronchos (8-8 overall) jumped out to a 22-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back from there.
Kheeauna Lide led Odessa High with a game-high 20 points while Nesha Stephens added 12 in the victory. Taryn Griner led the Lady Loboes (6-8) with 15 points. The Lady Bronchos resume District 2-6A play Friday at Midland Lee.
