Odessa College middle blocker Yasmin Figueiredo was named the WJCAC Defensive Player of the Week Monday.
The sophomore from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil finished the Wrangler Classic with 13 solo blocks, 15 block assists, 12 digs, 24 kills and five aces in four matches for the Lady Wranglers.
Odessa College finished 3-1 this past weekend at the Wrangler Classic and returns to action Sept. 10 at the NMJC Classic in Hobbs, N.M.
