The UTPB softball team was dealt losses in a doubleheader against Lubbock Christian University Friday at Falcon Field.
The Falcons lost the first game 12-0 and then dropped the second, 4-0 in Lone Star Conference Action.
In the first game, the Lady Chaps had 12 hits while the Falcons had none and two errors.
Taylor Franco got the win for Lubbock Christian while Destini Trahan was credited with the loss.
In Game 2, Lubbock Christian scored a run in the first inning and then added three more in the fourth, finishing the contest with 12 hits and no errors.
UTPB couldn’t anything going offensively as the Falcons were unable to register a hit.
Maxine Valdez was credited with the win for Lubbock Christian while Abby Cousins took the loss.
UTPB sits at 8-41 overall and 5-36 in conference play.
LCU sits at 38-14, 28-13.
Both teams will be back at it Saturday at noon at Falcon Field.
