TYLER The UTPB softball team ended up being swept by UT-Tyler after an 8-0 loss Wednesday on the road in Lone Star Conference play.
With the loss, the Falcons fell to 3-15 overall, 0-9 in Lone Star Conference.
No. 6-ranked UT-Tyler moved to 16-5, 8-4.
The Patriots scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning before scoring six more in the fifth.
UTPB finished with one hit and two errors while UT-Tyler had seven hits and no errors.
The Falcons lost their other games against the Patriots, losing 8-0 in both of Tuesday’s games in a doubleheader.
UTPB will be back at home for a doubleheader against Midwestern State beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.
