The Odessa College softball team had little to no trouble in defeating Frank Phillips College in a doubleheader Friday at Wrangler Stadium.
The Lady Wranglers won by scores of 11-1 and 18-0 in the first doubleheader of this weekend’s four-game series in Western Junior College Athletic Conference action.
Odessa College moved to 46-4 overall and 22-0 in conference play.
Odessa College out-hit Frank Phillips College 10-3 in Game 1 and scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in the run-ruled victory.
Rayna Cruickshanks was the winning pitcher for the Lady Wranglers.
In Game 2, Odessa College scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth as the Lady Wranglers finished with 17 hits to Frank Phillips’ 2.
Emily Brouse took the win in the circle for Odessa College in the second game.
Both teams will finish up their series with another doubleheader at noon Saturday at Odessa College.
