COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Brown named MVP of WJCAC to lead Odessa College honorees

Odessa College pitcher Aydenne Brown was named the Most Valuable Player as she led a number of Lady Wranglers who were honored on the Western Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference team.

Brown made 25 starts in the circle for Odessa College, finishing with a 20-2 record that included 16 complete games. She also struck 237 batters while maintaining a 1.72 earned run average.

Brown was also selected as an all-conference pitcher along with teammate Fadwa Ben Karim. Illy Cisneros and Alyssa Deanda were named all-conference infielders along with Lauren Gonzales and Kaylean Ayala as outfielders.

Marijn Crouwel was named as an all-conference catcher while also earning an honorable mention as a utility player. Sophomore infielder Hunter Harkrider was also recognized as an honorable mention.
