The UTPB football team will face Western New Mexico on the road in a 1 p.m. Lone Star Conference game Saturday in Silver City, N.M.
The Falcons (8-1 overall, 6-0 in conference) are currently tied for first place in the Lone Star Conference standings with Central Washington (7-2, 7-0). Both teams will face each other next week in the regular season finale in Midland.
The Falcons are coming off a 28-16 homecoming win over Western Oregon last Saturday at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland.
Western New Mexico (1-7, 0-6) remains at the bottom of the conference standings, having lost to Midwestern State in a 56-7 rout last week in Wichita Falls.
