The Odessa College men’s basketball team was picked third in the preseason NJCAA polls Monday.
The Wranglers, coached by sixth-year head coach Kris Baumann, are coming off a 30-4 overall record from last year which included a quarterfinal appearance in the NJCAA Tournament.
Fellow WJCAC opponent South Plains College was picked No. 2 in the poll while Northwest Florida State College enters the season ranked No. 1.
Odessa College will begin the season at 3 p.m. Nov. 1 against Ranger College in a tournament at Midland College at the Chaparral Center.
The Wranglers’ first home game will be in the Wrangler Club Shootout at 7 p.m. Nov. 16 against College of Southern Idaho at the OC Sports Center.
