WEATHERFORD The Odessa College men’s basketball team held off Weatherford College, 58-50, Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Region 5 tournament at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center.
The Wranglers (24-7) were led in scoring by Willie Lightfoot’s 14 points while Brandon Maclin had ten and Jordan Ray finished with eight points.
Weatherford College (21-10) was led in scoring by Jamie Hodges’ 18 points while Jared Washington had ten and Wayne Wiggins finished with seven points.
Odessa College will face No. 1-seed South Plains College in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Friday.
