COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Falcons return for four-game home stretches

The UTPB basketball teams will host the first of four straight nonconference games Thursday at the Falcon Dome.

The women’s team will play in its first home game of the 2021 season against St. Edward’s at 5:15 p.m.

They come into the contest with a 1-7 overall record, with the only victory coming against South Dakota Mines in the second game of the season.

Alexus Wykoff leads the UTPB women with 11.2 points per game, with Alexus Quaadman averaging 6.4 rebounds.

The men will play St. Edward’s at 7:30 p.m., looking to bounce back from a close loss against Texas A&M International last Saturday.

Jordan Horn is pacing the Falcons with 16.9 points per game, followed by Miles Daniels who is averaging 13.7.

The UTPB men come into the contest with a 4-3 overall mark on the season.

After the four nonconference games, both teams will start Lone Star Conference play against St. Mary’s on Dec. 31 in San Antonio.
