COLLEGE BASEBALL: Wranglers split in doubleheader against Frank Phillips College

BORGER The Odessa College baseball team split its doubleheader against Frank Phillips College in Thursday’s road games.

The Wranglers (19-17 overall, 11-7 in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference) won the first game 12-4 before losing 16-15 in the second contest.

Frank Phillips College moved to 12-23, 4-12.

In game one, the Wranglers used a seven-run surge in the sixth inning to take a 12-1 lead.

The Wranglers had 18 hits and no errors while the Plainsmen finished with nine hits and no errors.

In game two, Frank Phillips College scored two runs in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the high-scoring contest, finishing with 15 hits and three errors.

The Wranglers had 18 hits and seven errors.

Both teams will finish up the series with a doubleheader beginning at noon Friday in Borger.
