COLLEGE BASEBALL: Falcons drop series finale against Aggies

The UTPB baseball team ended its four-game series against Cameron with a 15-2 loss in Lone Star Conference action Monday at Roden Field.

The Falcons fell to 6-19 overall and 5-19 in conference play.

The Aggies moved to 8-11, 8-10.

Cameron pitcher Clayton McClenan was credited with the win for the Aggies, going seven innings, giving up only five hits and two runs.

The Aggies finished with 14 hits and no errors while UTPB had five hits and two errors.

The Falcons’ Cade Pollard took the loss on the mound, going 3.2 innings, giving up 13 hits and nine runs.

Cameron scored two runs in both the second and third innings before adding five in the fourth inning and three more in both the sixth and seventh innings.

UTPB will next face UT-Tyler on the road in a series beginning March 25. The Falcons will return home on April 1 to face Arkansas-Fort Smith at Roden Field.
