NUGGETS: The other race

By Jannie Linney

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” [2 Cor.5:17 NKJ]. Those who have received Jesus as their Savior are born again. The old person they were has become new. They are not the same as they were. Not Jew and not Gentile. Not perfect but a new creature, ready to be molded into the likeness of Christ Jesus.

The disciples had been persecuted for their confession of Jesus, but many souls had been brought into the Kingdom of God. “Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was for a whole year they assembled with the Church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch [Acts 11:26]. A new name, a name that had never been before, for a group of people that had never been before. Not Jew, not Gentile.

Ungers Bible Dictionary said “a people who had been taken out of Adam, the sphere of condemnation and placed in Christ, the sphere of righteousness. This is a new race, a people saved by the grace of God.” “Sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” [Rom.5:21]. Grace has its authority through Righteousness. The word grace that people throw around today is not for this new race. The grace that reigns through “righteousness” is the grace by faith that saved this new breed of people.

Instructions for the born again believer is “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” [Rom. 12:2]. A person of this new race has the desire to please the Father. They know that sin reigns in death, not life. They are being transformed by reading the bible, praying and being very careful what they see and hear. “For the love of Christ constrains us,” [2 Cor.5:14]. Being in Christ we cannot bring our self to do the things we did in the old life. “Those that live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” [2 Cor.5:15]. This “Other Race” wants to prove what is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

The “One World Government, The One World Religion” wants to be all inclusive and include all Religions all cults, Baal worshipers, devil worshipers in one group as long as they hold the power. They are way behind, God has always been all inclusive of people, not sin. “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise” [Gla.3:26-29]. In Jesus we are Christ-ones. If you are Jew, Greek, red, yellow, black or white, you are my sister, my brother. He said if we don’t live each other, we don’t love Him! We have everything available to us that God promised to Abraham, that is every promise in the Bible. God is not a respecter of person. Also He gives us the power to resist sin and live His will.

Through Jesus Christ, Christians have been called to be ministers of His Word in this world. “Therefore we are Ambassadors for Christ” [V.20a] We are not of this world, we are just passing through. This is not our home. “Ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading through us, we implore you on Christ’s behalf be reconciled to God” [v20 b]. Once a person has become a true Christian, they are so excited they want everyone to experience what they have experienced. “For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you. And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation” [2Cor.6:2].

No one is promised tomorrow. This is way too good to miss out on. Besides, there is only one other choice. When a person refuses Jesus, they have automatically chosen hell. If you will, just ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to come into your heart by faith. He loves you so much, He is waiting on you to join “The Other Race” His Race.
