NUGGETS: You choose who

By Jannie Linney

Did you ever see so much supernatural activity projected as we are seeing right now? There really are two spiritual worlds out there. This is nothing new. They are just being revealed in a greater way today than they were 50 years ago. Movies, T.V. about every media has violence, teaching the public how to be violent. Teaching how to sin and an element of the supernatural.

Well, really the preternatural. The media well show the evil side, but when we as Christians say anything about The Holy Spirit’s Supernatural, they edit it out. Satan does not want people to know that we have a God that loves us and is stronger than he is.

Paul taught about it in the Bible. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places” [Ephesians 6:12] This is very obvious. There has always been a realm we couldn’t see. The supernatural [good], and preternatural [evil], is manifest through people here on earth. The good, by the Holy Spirit and the evil, by demonic forces. The evil is manifest or builds slowly.

Normally a murderer doesn’t just get up one morning and say, “Well, I think I’ll just go kill someone today.”

No, most likely that person starts with unforgiveness toward someone, as they think on it, that unforgiveness builds into anger, then hate, then rage and on to murder. There could be someone who plans a robbery, not planning to kill but circumstances during the robbery brings the murder to pass. “The thief [devil] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” [John 10:10 A] The only reason the devil comes is to do harm. He tries to get you and me to do stupid things. Satan wants to manifest his personality through us because we were created in the image of God. Satan hates God and anything God created. Hate is opposite to love. God is love. Satan causes fear, fear is opposite to faith. We cannot please God without faith [Heb. 11:6]

God is Spirit and He wants us to manifest His personality here in this world, in the midst of the storms of life, to reveal His nature to mankind. “Because as He is so are we in this world” [1 John 4:17]. He created us in His image and placed man in a garden that had everything man would ever need. Jesus said “Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father” [John 14:12]. Christians believe John 3:16, but very few really believe this.

Jesus wants us to prosper. He said, “I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” [John 10:10 B] God made the good life available to us, it’s our choice which spirit we choose to let manifest through us. If we do not choose Christ, we will have automatically chosen Satan. There is no middle ground. There is only two ways to live. “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” [Deut. 30:19].

There are those who have become disillusioned about the things of God. They have turned their backs on the things of God, Church, Bible and prayer. Somehow they feel that God has let them down. Stop and think, there is only two ways to live. God has never made a mistake. He has never sinned. Who do you think has influenced people to believe that God failed them? Satan is evil, God is good. Now who would you really trust? It’s only Satan or God. “You Chose Who.”
