STUDY CLUB
The Odessa Music Study Club, part of the National and Texas Federation of Music Clubs, met April 9 hosted by Sara Herrington and Sophie Edwards. Maria Mutis led the members in the Federation Collect, the federation hymn and the song of the month, “Deep River.” In honor of dance month, the club watched Ballet Folklórico from Mexico, salsa from Cuba, cumbia from Colombia, tango from Argentina, kompa from Haiti, merengue from Dominican Republic, thank cuenca from Ecuador and marinera norteña from Peru.
