NUGGETS: Predestined

“More over whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called He justified; and whom He justified He also glorified.” [Rom. 8:30] Many think there are no reasons to work at life or being better people because God has already decided who will be saved and who will get ahead in life, when we will die, who will fall off the porch and who He will send to hell if there is one. Well there is a real heaven and a real hell. And no, God does not send anyone to hell. He gave us the choice to go to heaven or hell.

You see when He created the world and everything in it; He predestined everyone to live in the Garden of Eden forever. He placed in that garden everything they would ever need. When Adam and Eve sinned, man changed all that! God rushed them out of the Garden so they would not eat of the tree of life, if they had, then man would have lived forever in the sin nature with no hope of redemption.

God gave mankind laws to live by, but no matter how hard they tried, man could not live by those laws having, that awful sin nature. Many times in God’s word, in many different ways, He said it was not His will that any perish. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any perish but that all should come to repentance.” [2 Peter 3:9]

He told us several times, not all in one place, but in many different ways, that He formed us in our mother’s womb. He has a plan of [predestination] for our lives, He has called us and equip us, set us in the his body. In Jeremiah 29:11 that “He knew the plans He has for us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope.” God is always for us, He predestined every one of us, had plans for us, to receive Jesus as our savior, that we could be set free, healed, prosper, moving us from glory to glory and serve in His kingdom. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” [John 3:16]

However we see by the free will God gave all of us, that Adam, being the first one to use that free will, choose to go against what God had planned. Still today people choose to avoid the will of God, by not choosing Jesus, not choosing freedom, healing, prosperity and many other things God provided us through the suffering of Jesus. We still live forever — somewhere. We get to choose to go to heaven to be in His presence or do nothing and go to hell by default.

Jesus said “I am the door. If any enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to Steal, and to kill, and to destroy. ‘I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” [John 10:9-10]

Who would you rather spend eternity with, the one who steals, kills and destroys or the one who makes plans for your good? If you want to go for the good, Just ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins you have ever committed. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and live in and through you. Then just believe by faith that He will do what He says He will. When He forgives sins He said he remembers them no more. Why not get rid of them today?

Yes, Father God, God the son and God the Holy Spirit [Elohim, three in One] did predestine man for good and not evil. Many refuse to receive what He “Predestined.”
