God Made Abram some promises and they belong to us, too. All who are born again are descendants of Abraham because we were grafted into the Olive Tree [Romans 11]. We can claim all of the promises God gave to Abraham.
“Now, the Lord said to Abram: Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your fathers house. To a land that I will show you, I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” [Gen. 12:1-3] Now we know this is literally speaking to the Jews, but because we have been grafted in, let us look at this in the spiritual realm. The Jews are the natural branches and Christians art the spiritual branches. These instructions and blessings are ours as well, not instead of the Jews, Christians have not replaced the Israel as some teach. We have been grafted in. Look in the spirit.
Get out of your country: There are times when God will tell us to get out of the familiar places of our lives. He will remove us from our comfort zone. Then He can get our attention on Him, hearing his voice, knowing we need Him.
From your kindred: Moving us away from all those we feel obligated to. Sometimes families are our biggest hold back from what God is calling us to do. There are sacrifices when we serve in the kingdom of God. They are worth it in the long run.
From your father’s house: Taking us out of all other responsibilities and distractions, that we will be yielded to Him and Him alone. He will sometimes, test us, to see if we will obey.
To a land that I will show you: Teaching us to totally depend on Him. As we walk in faith He teaches us to trust in Him completely. Being led by the Spirit of God is a more excellent way [1 Cor. 12:31]. We will never be complete till we are in the land He shows us.
I will make you a Great Nation: We as Christians have become a great nation, within a nation. We just simply do not function as God intended for us to yet. He gave Adam dominion over all the earth and all that is in it. Adam lost that privilege, but Jesus paid an awesome price to buy it back for all mankind. “Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”
I Will bless you: Wow! Have we been blessed with “Sozo Salvation.” It’s a package deal of everything we will ever need. We have salvation from Hell to Heaven, plus all promises in the bible. Through faith, they are ours for the taking. He also calls us out of our selves!
And make your name great: The name Christian is Great, that’s why the world hates it so much. It labels us with Christ, with who we have a relationship.
And you shall be a blessing: Because Christianity is not a religion, like all other religions but a relationship with the person Jesus, those who are true Christians, love to help others. Those who say they love Him and do not love others, simply lie.
I will bless those who bless you: If people really want to be blessed, this is it. If we Bless Israel we will be blessed. America has always been blessed because they stood with the nation of Israel. Those who bless Christians get blessed because we are grafted in.
And I will curse those who cures you: If we bless Israel we get blessed. God said He will contend with those who contend with us [Is. 49:25]. Bless Israel and Christians — Get Bless
And in you all the families of earth shall be blessed. Any time there is a disaster on this earth, who is first to be there to help. It is always a Christian based organization. What a blessing it is to be a part of what God is doing. We are Abraham’s descendant’s, we have the same blessings and the same instructions. Join us today and enter the Kingdom of God that last for all eternity!
