Across Odessa, pets and other animals have been exposed to sub-freezing temps after the winter storm passed through the Permian Basin. Reports of animals being left outdoors are being turned over to Odessa Animal Control and violators could be faced with animal cruelty charges which can range from a Class A misdemeanor to a third-degree felony.
