The 46th annual Permian Basin Fair and Expo officially began on Friday evening at the Ector County Coliseum and Fairgrounds. The event will feature many vendors, exhibits, and fun for the family. The event will take place until Sept. 11.

Seven year old Raul Feels holds Gem, a puppy for adoption with the Odessa Animal Control. The organization will be holding an adoption event from Sept. 3-5 and Sept. 9-11 which gives families the option of a $27 adoption fee which includes microchip, vaccinations, and sterilizations for animals.
