MIDLAND COUNTY Cotton Flat South at Eastbound I-20, Fri (4/5/24) – Cotton Flat Road south of I-20 will be closed at the jug handle only. The frontage roads will remain open, however, you will not be able to access Cotton Flat or the frontage road from closed location (see map). Please make sure you detour to CR 114.
Work will begin Friday at 8 p.m. and continue until Tuesday (4/9/24) at noon. The construction team is excavating for the storm drain and paving the connection from the I-20 frontage to CR 111.
TxDOT is achieving another milestone for the Cotton Flat project by completing this section of roadway. Once completed, Cotton Flat Road will run directly to the IH 20 frontage road (red dotted line on map). This work was scheduled to last 2 weeks. Through discussions with the contractor we were able to create an expedited time table for work to be completed over a long weekend.
