First Basin Credit Union has officially kicked off its annual Back to School donation drive, a press release stated Wednesday.
The drive benefits children of the Rainbow Room of the Permian Basin.
The drive is to help ensure that area children are prepared with the necessary school supplies for the upcoming school year.
The release stated that First Basin is requesting monetary donations be made at any FBCU location in Midland, Odessa or Andrews – account number 80001-02. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, July 27 with a $500 donation from First Basin kicking off the drive. All donations collected will be presented to the Rainbow Room for purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year.
The Rainbow Room works with Child Protective Services (CPS) to assist foster children, and all other children involved in CPS care, throughout Midland, Odessa, Andrews and surrounding counties.
