ECISD adopts Hall Pass as new volunteer management system

Ector County ISD has announced Hall Pass as its new Volunteer Management System.

Hall Pass is a familiar program on ECISD campuses, having already been in place to track campus visitors; it will now be utilized to track volunteers checking in and out of a campus, track volunteer destinations on campus, and produce detailed reports of volunteers on a campus. This transition should provide ease to our campus volunteers when they check in and out on a campus while ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

A key question is, what is the difference between a visitor and a volunteer? A volunteer directly assists staff with students or duties on or off campus. ECISD requires that all volunteers consent to a criminal history background check every two years.

A visitor is someone attending a school function such as an awards assembly or lunch with their child. Visitors are required to check-in when they arrive on campus but do not require the same criminal history background check.

Hall Pass launched in 2002 with a mission to proactively protect schools and safeguard vulnerable children from the dangers of sexual predators. Hall Pass has created a comprehensive, proprietary database of individuals convicted of sex crimes that integrates real-time registry data from all 50 states and the Hall Pass visitor identification system.
