With the major city wide water outage, UTPB has experienced a significant loss of water pressure on its Odessa campus so at 10 a.m they will ask employees to begin working remotely.
A Facebook post says to please shift meetings to online options and take any equipment you need to continue to work from home.
UTPB anticipates having to shut down the air conditioners if the city can’t resolve the situation soon. The city has also issued a boil water notice.
“We do not know how long this problem will last, but the City of Odessa is providing updates. University staff at the Engineering, CEED and WNPAC do not need to change their work schedules and can remain at work on campus,” the post said.
Essential personnel will remain on campus.
