TXCPA Permian Basin announces new officers and awards

Local CPA Catherine Speer elected accounting group’s new leader

DALLAS Odessa-based certified public accountant Catherine Speer, CPA, has been elected 2023-24 president of the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA) Permian Basin Chapter.

Speer currently serves as a partner at Whitley Penn. Midland-based certified public accountant John Michael Jaramillo, CPA, partner at Weaver, was named president-elect of the chapter.

Joining Speer and Jaramillo on the 2023-24 TXCPA Permian Basin Board of Directors are:

TXCPA Permian Basin, a chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, has been serving TXCPA members since 1949. The chapter now serves more than 500 members in Borden, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Kent, Loving, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Reagan, Reeves, Scurry, Sterling, Terrell, Upton, Ward and Winkler counties.
