Two people, including an Odessa man, were killed early Sunday morning in a rollover crash in Midland County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 36-year-old Del Rio man was traveling east on State Highway 158 when he took a curve in the roadway at an unsafe speed for wet road conditions at 4:40 a.m.. The Dodge Ram 2500 veered off the roadway to the right and rolled multiple times.
The driver and all four of his passengers, who weren’t wearing seat belts, were thrown from the truck, DPS stated.
Jesus Mejia Trejo, 28, of Odessa died at the scene and Mario Govea Jr. 21, of Del Rio, died at Midland Memorial Hospital.
The driver was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries and the remaining passengers were taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
