Two arrested on felony drug charges

Two men are facing felony drug charges after Odessa detectives found 141 grams of methamphetamine, 34 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of THC and more than five ounces of marijuana in an Odessa motel room.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, detectives received information Anthony “Sweets” Lee and Leroy Webb were selling meth out of a room at the Baymont Inn and Suites on East Highway 80.

On Tuesday, detectives saw what they believed to be a narcotics transaction between Lee and Webb and made contact with them, the report stated.

According to the report, Lee admitted without prompting he had meth in his pocket and detectives obtained a search warrant for his room.

In addition to the drugs found in Lee’s room, they found digital scales and a large amount of currency on his person, the report stated.

Lee confessed the drugs in his room were his and that he sells narcotics in various quantities and Webb admitted he was the “middleman” for Lee, according to the report.

Lee was arrested on suspicion of three counts of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance and delivery of marijuana. Webb was arrested on suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance. Most of the drug charges are first-degree felonies punishable by five years to life in prison.

Lee and Webb remain in the Ector County jail on bonds totaling $194,000 and $60,000, respectively.
