Texas Department of Public Safety Spokesperson and Public Relations Officer Sgt. Steven Blanco will discuss the traffic challenges in the Permian Basin and how enhancing safety on the roadways starts with a community focus from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Petroleum Museum Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series, 1500 Interstate 20 West in Midland.
He will provide an overview of recent statistics, address varying perspectives on speed limits, call attention to the dangers of distracted driving, and highlight the unique characteristics of commercial vehicles.
Traffic Update: The access road in front of the Museum is now one-way, westbound. You will need to access the service road at Rankin Highway (Hwy 349). Please take note as you make plans to come to the museum.
