The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Odessa Police Department arrested three men Thursday after they allegedly showed up to have sex with an undercover agent they thought was an underage girl.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety records, Armando Fuentes, 45, Ruben Luis Martinez, 42, and Frank Joseph Guerrero, 33, each responded separately to an undercover agent’s advertisement on text messages using a popular chat app. They then agreed to met the agent for sex despite the agent telling them he was a 15-year-old or 16-year-old girl.
When the men showed up at the pre-arranged location, they were arrested on suspicion of solicitation of a minor for sexual conduct, a second-degree felony.
Each man was booked into the Ector County jail and bail was set at $25,000 each.
Fuentes, an Odessan, was released from the Ector County jail Friday, but Martinez, an El Paso resident, and Guerrero, a Midland resident, remained in custody as of Friday night.
