Teenagers accused of aggravated robbery

Two teens have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, a woman called 911 around 7:30 p.m. Saturday to say she was putting groceries in her vehicle at the West University Boulevard Lowe’s when a man pointed a gun at her and took her purse.

Witnesses reported the gunman and another suspect left the parking lot in a black Chevrolet Tahoe and they provided deputies with a license plate number, the report stated.

Law enforcement officers pulled the Tahoe over in North Odessa and De’Andre Shephard confessed and identified his accomplice as 18-year-old Daniel Rodriguez, according to the report.

Shephard was booked into the Ector County jail early Sunday morning and he remains in custody on a $100,000 surety bond.

Rodriguez was arrested Friday. His bond has not yet been set.
