The summer reading kickoff party at the Ector County Library took place on May 26, which included face painting, balloon animals, snow cones and the generosity of many community partner sponsors.
Popular events thus far included the Pirate Scavenger Hunt, theatre production of “Treasure Island” and music from Will Parker and the Make Believe Band, the press release stated.
Upcoming highlights include:
- Ocean Painting from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
- Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters Book Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
- Dungeons & Dragons from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
- Ocean Story Cubes 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
