Medical Center Health System and Odessa Mayor Javier Joven will recognize Thursday as National Stop the Bleed Day during a special proclamation on Thursday morning. The brief ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. in the ECHD Board Room on the MCH campus.
In addition to the proclamation, the MCH Trauma Services Department will be holding two free Stop the Bleed classes in the ECHD Boardroom to educate the community.
These classes are open to anyone and feature a formal presentation, followed by hands-on experience which will show you three quick ways to control serious bleeding. Class times are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
