Chili’s restaurant, 5025 E. 42nd St., will donate 15 percent of its profits all day Thursday to support the Atlas XIII at Falcon Early College High School.
Atlas XIII is the group participating in the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program. A group of 13 students from Falcon will head to Washington, D.C., sometime in June along with four chaperones. Proceeds will go toward the trip.
Students at Falcon developed an experiment looking at whether bacteria that degrades plastic will work the same way in microgravity as it does on Earth. The experiment was chosen to be conducted on the International Space Station.
