Siren sound off for Child Abuse Awareness Month

Harmony Home Children’s Advocacy Center, United Way and first responders will kick off Child Abuse Awareness Month at 10 a.m. Friday.

Don’t be alarmed, be aware.

First responders will be sounding their sirens at 10:40 a.m. to encourage the prevention of child abuse.

Community members are encouraged to honk their horns and/or set an alarm on their cell phone for 10:40 a.m.

The Odessa Downtown Lions Club, 1101 Whitaker Ave., will conclude the month with a party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at the club’s parking lot.
