Several local entities have teamed up to debut a new market experience to downtown Odessa – the brand new ODTX Downtown Market. Sponsored by Medical Center Hospital, Downtown Odessa, Odessa Marriott, Starbucks, The Ector Theater, Odessa College, and Homemade Wines, the ODTX Downtown Market will officially kick off on Sept. 23, with two more dates to follow.
The Sept. 23 market runs from 8 a.m. to noon; Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to noon; and Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“We’re always interested in businesses and events that bring life and continuity to Downtown,” said Toby Eoff, Eofficial Enterprises and founding partner of ODTX Downtown Market. “We really want people to experience for themselves the growth and vibrancy that’s happening in the heart of their city. The way we see it, when you bring foot traffic and creativity to downtown, people begin to envision what they can do and how their businesses can be a part of the culture. Our hope is that the ODTX Downtown Market, will not only be something fun to do downtown – but that it will also act as a catalyst for more growth.
The market will be held on North Jackson between Third and Fifth streets and on Fourth Street from Texas Avenue to Jackson Avenue. The ODTX Downtown Market is a family and pet-friendly gathering of local growers, bakers, artisans, and makers. In addition, it will feature live music, culinary demos, vintage cars, a splash pad, mobile car wash, a video game truck and much more. A list of specialty vendors and experiences that will be featured: Mobile Gaming; MoCuts; HYB Mobile Car Wash; Art by Pono Pinto, Amanda Jo Scruggs, Unhinged Arts; Live Mural Painting; The Modern Frida; Lelah Mays; Kirby’s Kloset; Permian Basin Master Gardeners; Sister Dough; Full Throttle; Health Screenings; Culinary Demonstrations; Homemade Wines.
The ODTX Downtown Market is free and open to the public.
