FAUDREE ROAD CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC ALERT

With the on-going construction of Faudree Road, traffic patterns have also changed on the 191 frontage roads approaching Faudree Road.

The temporary lane assignments during construction will be the inside lane is a left turn lane while the outside lane is for traffic moving straight thru the intersection.

The lane assignments apply to both the eastbound and westbound frontage roads.


EMPTY BOWL FUNDRAISER

The 22nd annual Empty Bowl fundraiser benefiting the West Texas Food Bank has been scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Midland College at the Gallery, 3600 N. Garfield St., Midland.

All the soup you can eat, and you can purchase handmade bowls.

General admission is $15. Table of eight is $500 (donation).

Permian Basin Animal Advocates has scheduled a Barks & Brews event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Eccentric Brewing Company, 1402 Cotton Flat Road, Midland.

There will be lots of adoptable dogs, and anyone who adopts a dog at the event will receive a free drink token.

BENEFIT FOR JAYMI ANDERSON

Kallie K. Hughes and James Morgan has scheduled a benefit event for Jaymi Anderson starting at 2 p.m. today at Pat’s Place Lounge, 7405 N. Andrews Highway.

There will be brisket and sausage plates for $10 each, an AR-15 raffle for $20 per ticket, live & silent auctions, live music by Chromemolly & The Barkin Spiders, and more. Fund will go to Anderson to help with medical expenses. She was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
