Police respond to alarm call

The Odessa Police Department needed the SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Teams after a residential alarm call early Thursday morning.

OPD spokesperson Cpl. Steve LeSueur issued a press release that detailed at 4:15 a.m. Thursday officers responded to a residential alarm call in the 9800 block of Hawthorn Court.

As officers approached the door to make contact with the residents of the house, a gun was fired through the front screen door. The SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were deployed.

After several attempts to contact the subject, entry was made and the subject was found inside a bedroom needing medical attention. This investigation is still ongoing.
