Jaynard Quiray, a 10-year-old fifth grader at Odessa Christian School, won the regional spelling bee Thursday. The event was held at the Odessa High School Performing Arts Center and the winning word was erubescent. Quiray now moves on to the national spelling bee in Washington, D.C., in May.
