Ajay Gundlapalli, son of Dr. Sai Gundlapalli and Dr. Meghana Gillala, won first place in the Ector County Independent School District 2023 Regional Spelling Bee Saturday and now advances to the 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
